Best Beaches Near Our Property (and How to Get There)

One of the biggest perks of staying at 418 Basilio Badillo is how close you are to some of Puerto Vallarta’s best beaches. Whether you’re in the mood for something lively, quiet, or totally off the grid, these beaches are all easy to reach — and each one offers its own unique vibe.

1. Playa Los Muertos – 5-Minute Walk

This is the main beach in the Romantic Zone and it’s just steps from your stay. It’s great for swimming, people-watching, sipping cocktails at beach clubs, or grabbing a fresh coconut from a street vendor.

How to get there: Walk west down Basilio Badillo until you hit the sand. Done.

2. Playa Conchas Chinas – Secluded & Scenic

Tucked just south of Los Muertos, this beach offers natural rock formations, tide pools, and fewer crowds. It’s ideal for photos, a peaceful swim, or exploring with kids.

How to get there: A 5-minute taxi or Uber, or a 20-minute scenic walk south along the coast.

3. Playa Palmares – Clear Water & Great Snorkeling

Known for its Blue Flag designation and clean, swimmable water, Palmares is a favorite among locals. There are no big beach clubs — just pure ocean, soft sand, and peace.

How to get there: 10-15 minutes by taxi or bus heading south.

4. Playa Amapas – A Hidden Gem Between the Hills

Just past the southern end of Los Muertos pier, you’ll find this small cove-like beach with a more relaxed feel. Bring snacks and a towel, and spend the day lounging like a local.

How to get there: Walk south along the beach and follow the steps over the rocks from Los Muertos.

5. Playa Las Gemelas – Crystal Clear Paradise

A true hidden treasure with turquoise water and soft white sand. It’s smaller and more remote, but it feels like your own private beach.

How to get there: 20-minute Uber or bus ride south. Bring your own supplies — no vendors here.

Bonus: Want an Adventure? Head to Yelapa

This beach is only accessible by boat, giving it a castaway feel. Waterfalls, fresh-caught seafood, and stunning views await.

How to get there: Catch a water taxi from Los Muertos Pier (10-minute walk from 418).
